Yes. The Beale Street Music Festival 2015 lineup was officially announced this morning. I've been waiting for this moment since October 2014, when the man of my dreams and I discussed a possibly-maybe roadtrip to the southeastern United States. Well, plans snowballed. Christmas saw the gift of billets for said-man and his brother (and of course, one for myself...). Then flights were booked. Hotels were booked. Our red Mustang convertible was booked. I guess I was hooped!
And when I saw the line-up posted this morning, I thought, "I should start a blog. And maybe actually update it. And maybe meet some cool cats online that are also going. And get them to contribute".
I think this will be fun. Some of the performers I know very well; I can extend my knowledge of some of these super-talented musicians. And the ones I'm not too familiar with? Hey, we could learn together. Or you could educate me with a guest post!
We'll see where this goes, as I prepare to make my 3,221 km trek from Calgary, AB to Memphis, TN. Excited? I kinda am...
